Cenerentola: un sogno da cui non ci desteremo mai
Era il 15 febbraio del 1950, quando Cenerentola venne proiettato nelle sale cinematografiche. Sono passati settant’anni da quel giorno, e questa fiaba continua ad incantare intere generazioni.
Se c’è un film nella storia della Walt Disney che più di altri ha rappresentato la magia di questi Studios, questo è senza dubbio Cinderella. Dopo gli anni bui della Seconda Guerra Mondiale, Walt Disney voleva regalare al pubblico le stesse emozioni che provarono con Biancaneve e i Sette Nani, e scelse questa antica fiaba di Charles Perrault.
Perchè il termine Classico Disney nasce con Cenerentola? Perchè il film racchiude uno dei concetti cardine che guida la poetica di Walt: la speranza. La speranza di un destino migliore rispetto a quello che la vita sembra averci crudelmente riservato. Cenerentola nasce per raccontare alle persone che i sogni son desideri, e che anche quando lo sconforto prende il sopravvento, non bisogna mai perdere la speranza.
Per raccontare il dramma di Cenerentola, Walt sapeva di dover fare un passo ulteriore a quanto realizzato con Biancaneve: doveva raccontare l’emotività di una ragazza fragile oppressa e schiavizzata dal cinismo e dall’invidia della sua matrigna.
La caratterizzazione dei personaggi umani raggiunge con questo film d’animazione livelli mai visti prima. Gli effetti visivi si spingono oltre il possibile per l’epoca: nasce la polvere Disney, quella “luccicanza” che brilla sull’abito di Cenerentola e sulla scarpetta di cristallo che poi ritroveremo in altri Classici come Peter Pan. Nasce quel sogno che oggi identifichiamo con il mondo Disney. Persino il suo castello, divenne il simbolo dell’intero universo Disney.
Avvolto nei toni dei blu e degli azzurri, il sogno di Cenerentola prende vita sullo schermo con incredibile candore, donando a questo film un’eleganza senza pari.
Può un film avere così tanta grazia da non invecchiare mai? Cenerentola si rinnova anno dopo anno, adattandosi ai tempi ma mentenendo intatta quella speranza di varcare la soglia del castello, di salire una scalinata e trovare lì il vero amore ad attenderci. Un sogno immortale da cui forse non ci desteremo mai.
