La Bella e la Bestia: quando il vero amore è incastonato in un addio
La Bella e la Bestia, secondo classico d’animazione scelto dai fan di Cinevagabondo sui social media, si colloca in quel periodo storico definito Rinascimento Disney, che ha dato alla luce nell’ordine La Sirenetta, la Bella e la Bestia, Aladdin e il Re Leone.
È il primo film d’animazione in assoluto ad essere nominato agli Oscar, e trae origine da un sogno di Walt Disney che, dopo Biancaneve e i sette nani, si innamorò di questa fiaba ma dovette rinunciare per le difficoltà dell’impresa. Il risultato è un film incantevole, poetico ed elegante come un dipinto di Raffaello.
Disney dà anima e corpo a Belle, una figura femminile completamente nuova, ispirata al personaggio di Jo di Piccole Donne. Belle è diversa da ciò che si ritiene “la norma”, così come la Bestia che incontrerà. Questa affinità nella diversità crea un’alchimia potente tra i due personaggi, che danzano nella storia costruendo un rapporto attraverso le divergenze. Da schiava Belle diventa complice, da complice amica, da amica ad amante perdutamente innamorata.
A sottolineare i passaggi di questa struggente storia d’amore una tavola pittorica sublime, dove i toni pastello del villaggio e dei vestiti di Belle si sposano con i toni oscuri del castello della bestia. La Rosa incantata, a differenza di altri classici come Biancaneve o cenerentola, non aspetta solo il bacio del vero amore. Pretende che si impari ad amare l’altro profondamente, fino a perderlo per sempre per amore.
Il vero amore ne la bella e la bestia lascia liberi di essere, o anche di andare via. Quando la Bestia permette a Belle di lasciare il castello, l’incantesimo che lo lega alla sua forma inizia a spezzarsi. È lì, che la bestia inizia a diventare umana. Ed é in quel preciso momento, che Belle inizia ad amare La Bestia.
Questa delicatezza nell’intendere l’amore rende La Bella e la Bestia un capolavoro immortale.
